Over the last month, since Aya Akamatsu earned an illustrious invitation to the Cyclocross World Championship, we put aside our own stuff and Simworks put together a world class machine for Aya to race with. We then sent her out in the world to make us all proud.

Follow along with Aya as she broadens her horizons racing in the UCI series both in the Netherlands and in Switzerland on February 1, representing both her country and her teammates and supporters back home and abroad.

In the two years that Aya has been racing as a member of Simworks Racing, she has improved and distinguished herself through her strength and determination. Focusing this year on her body weight and tailoring her diet for racing have helped her to gain speed and endurance. Additionally, cross-training with MTB racing in the spring have made her a more confident bike handler.

Punching her ticket as a representative of Japan, Aya is traveling from the Netherlands to Switzerland to leave it all out on the race course.
