New SimWorks Heart & Arrow Pocket Ts 💘

It’s Spring time here in Portland, Oregon and the flowers are budding and the birds are chirping and our rain soaked city is waking from it’s winter doldrums. This city of ours comes alive in a special way in the Spring season, with so much vibrant color in our beautiful trees and new life in our grasses and foliage. We call it the Rose City for good reason. It really is a sight to be seen, and one I’ve felt very fortunate to get to experience for these years I’ve called this part of the world home (allergies aside).

With that excitement of Spring in the air, and with folks shedding their heavier layers, we’re pleased to have a new T-shirt available to keep you feeling fresh and stylish for the warmer months.

The SimWorks catalogue is comprised of a diverse range of products that are meant to improve the lives of folks who position the humble bicycle as a means of shaping their lives. Sometimes those pieces are specialized or somewhat esoteric in the need that they fulfill. Some of our favorite products are staple goods- a sturdy pocket T, or a comfortable hooded sweatshirt; a pair of wool socks or an oversized tote bag. These products bridge that space between the time in our lives that we spend on our bikes, and the rest of our lives- which is most of our lives. So a sturdy pocket T it is- with a handsomely designed new SimWorks logo.

We had our friends Josh and Rachel from Variety Shop help us work out an update to our iconic and much loved Heart and Arrow logo, and they knocked it out of the park. We hooked up with Josh and Rachel of Variety Shop a couple of years ago when we commissioned them to make us a sandwich board sign for us to drag to our Pop-up sales and events. We were so pleased with the work that they did for us on that project that we were resolute in our desire to work with them again.

Josh and Rachel have since moved from Portland, OR to Richmond, VA; but the digital design work that we had asked of them in helping us to update our Heart and Arrow logo and word mark was easy to communicate and execute cross-country.

We’re thrilled to have these new T’s available just in time for some warmer weather, and we’re equally excited to put this lovely new graphic to good use on some upcoming and future projects. The T-shirts that we elected to use for this go-around have become somewhat of a go-to around here; Comfort Colors Pocket Ts. I’m not gonna get too in the weeds on T-shirt specs but these are great. They’re a heavier weight, they’re garment dyed and have a nice shape. I’m tall and lean and the Large fits like I want a Large t-shirt to fit. They’re not too baggy or too tight. They don’t shrink a bunch or pill when you wash and dry them. The arm holes aren’t weird and boxy or too long. They’re just a great t-shirt, and the pocket on them proves to be endlessly useful. They check all the T-shirt boxes. And they’re affordable. Which is arguably the most important T-shirt box to check.
