As my list of riding companions grew, I started to feel the weight of responsibility. That\u2019s when I started to really stress out.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\r\n<figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" height=\"1066\" width=\"1600\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-54582\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/sim-works.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/DSCF5533-1600x1066.jpg?resize=1600%2C1066&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"\" \/><\/figure>\r\n<\/div>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\r\n<p>What would happen if we got lost, or busted for trespassing, ran out of water, or worse?<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>This was unknown territory to me, and anything could happen.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>I spent quite a few nights awake, reviewing the plan over and over again. I was worried about my lack of control. I knew where we needed to go, but I wasn\u2019t entirely sure how we\u2019d get there.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Luckily, our cooperative of riders worked together to find our way. We hopped multiple gates, crossed over miles of pockmarked cow pastures, and eventually found our way to the summit \u2013 Berryessa Peak, 3060 feet in the sky.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Then it was all downhill to the fertile Capay Valley and a long, arduous grind through the orchard-lined highways of Yolo County until, at long last, we arrived in Sacramento just after sunset.<\/p>\r\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" height=\"1067\" width=\"1600\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-54576\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/sim-works.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/DSC00940-1600x1067.jpg?resize=1600%2C1067&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"\" \/><\/figure>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\r\n<p>I\u2019m so glad that our journey together was a success. I\u2019m already looking forward to the next one.
